DISTRICT PERFORMANCE
MGNREGS was launched in Hooghly district on 2nd April, 2007. The MGNREG Act 2005 provides enhancement of livelihood security, giving atleast 100 days of guranteed wage employment in every financial year household, whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.

Extensive trainings are being conducted throughout the District for the members of the social Audit Teams so that the first phase Social Audit for Financial Year 2011-2012 can be completed by September 2011.
